Integers - What is an integer ? ? & Types of Integers ??

INTEGERS:- What is an integer??
All natural numbers with 0 and negative of natural numbers are known as integers.

Example:-....... -4,-3,-2,-1,0,1,2,3,4....

Integers

All integers together are represented by letter Z.

Definition of Integers

Integers are set of zero & all positive and negative natural numbers.
Or you can say integers are Combination of opposite of whole numbers and whole numbers.

Integers donot include fraction numbers or decimal numbers.

• Whole numbers and  their negative numbers are termed as integers.

Types of Integers

We classify integers into three categories

1) Negative Integers
2) zero
3) Positive Integers

Types of Integers

1)  Negative Integers

All integers less than 0 are known as negative integers.
Negative Integers have - (minus) sign written on left of numbers
        Example. -4,-3, etc.

These integers are less than positive integers.

Negative Integers

2) zero

Zero is the counting number which is included in integers.

Zero

Zero is neither negative Integers nor positive integer.

3) Positive Integers

All integers greater than zero are known as positive integers.
These integers donot take any sign with them, as a number with
no sign in mathematics  is termed as a positive integer.

     Example. 1,2,3,4, etc.
